HMS Cavalier (R73) – Launched in 1944, Cavalier is the last surviving Royal Navy WWII destroyer. She served in Arctic convoys, the Far East, and Cold War operations before earning fame as the fleet’s fastest ship. Today, she rests at Chatham Historic Dockyard as a memorial to the 11,000 men lost on Royal Navy destroyers.
